Tree Display Guidelines

Tree Donor is responsible for providing artificial tree, tree stand, tree skirt, trimmings, electrical cords, power strip and all other items
needed for the display table.  All materials must be new.

Tree Donor’s Business Information (stand, frame, etc.) will be provided by Event organizers and displayed near Donor’s tree.

All lights must be new and UL approved. Pre-test before putting on tree. If not using pre-lit trees, use lights where the rest stay lit if one
light goes out. Plug no more than three 100-light strands into one extension cord. Use a power breaker strip for several extension cords.
Use heavy duty, 3-pronged extension cords.

Trees must be new, artificial and should be between 3 and 7 feet tall. Exceptions must be pre-approved.

If displaying gift certificates on trees, display a draft for security purposes. Give originals to a member of the Festival of Trees committee
for safe-keeping. The certificates will be presented to the winning bidder along with the tree.

No edible items, spray adhesives, loose glitter, tinsel, confetti or artificial snow are allowed.

No on-site spraying is allowed on site.

Ornaments or items of value should be wired to your tree.

Set-up and Dismantling Guidelines

Doors open at 7 AM on Tuesday and Wednesday (11/23 & 11/24) for set-up. Set-up should be completed by Wednesday at 10 PM. A
few, final “touches” will be allowed before 12 PM on Friday, November 26th.

Upon arriving, unload your car on the west side as quickly as possible and move your car to the lot behind the building, across from the
library, or other city parking area.

Check In with Event coordinators upon arrival. You will be assigned a set-up and display area. Trees may be moved from this spot by
       Event coordinators after completion.

Plan on set-up taking 4 – 6 hours depending on tree size if starting from scratch.

Come prepared. Bring scissors, florist wire, wire cutters, step stool, glue gun, pliers, drills, screw drivers, folding chairs, ladder, and clean
up tools such as a broom, dustpan, and garbage bags with you. Label your items. .

When decorating, keep in mind that the trees will be won via raffle or auction and packed up by the winners before noon on the day
following the event's close. Trees less than 5’ may be decorated in a permanent manner, with decorations wired or glue-gunned so that
the trees may be moved, and stored, in one piece. Any spraying or hot-gluing can NOT be done on site.

Trees 5 feet or larger will need to be dismantled by the winner and re-assembled elsewhere. Large trees will preferably be pre-lit for
convenience.  Provide storage boxes and decoration protection for the winners to safely pack their trees and trimmings. Storage
materials should be clearly marked (these will be stored back stage during the event). Smaller trees may be preassembled to be moved
in one piece. Make sure all items are securely fastened to the tree with wires, etc.

Legal Verbiage

All items displayed on and under the display (tree, lights, electrical cords, skirt, decorations, trim, etc.) become the property of the Event
       and ultimately the tree’s winner.
